i'm still finding my way to improve the presentation of my photoworks. sighh.

Summer in Barcelona '12 -PART II-

11/8/2012 · day 4
it's the fourth day of our trip, 3rd day in Barcelona. had our breakfast in the residence itself, we tapau the left-over 4-Quesos last night. this morning we put into the oven and settled our bfast like that.

planned to go to Musical Museum-- Palau de la Música Catalana. but we couldn't really find the place according to the map. -.- then we simply turn in and out between the streets and found it. haha! wanted to buy entrance ticket, but then we were told that there's a show tonight. the Flamenco show. OMGG wanna watch. so we bought tickets for the show and left. haha. anlahh we will come back tonight ;)

moved our steps to Catedral de Barcelona. it's a church. (obviously -.-) mm hmm, it's another Gaudi's building. i was like, "har? Gaudi again...sien lah :/" really sien. we didn't go into the church bcz we already went into the Sagrada Familia on 2nd day..that's really a bomb. haha! walked around at the bazaar and streets nearby.
Catedral. looks nice ;D if you wish to go in, it's 6€ per pax.

Happy Pills

creepy >< puppets home. lol hahaha alot of puppets inside

Had some awesome time pic and video taking with this…lobster? :P

Reached the port, and continue walking.. we were heading to a shopping mall, Maremagnum. It’s the ONLY shopping mall that opens on Sundays in Barcelona. So cool huhh. Haha! Not really a big mall.. with just a few shops and outlets that caught our attention.. like my sister bought a pair of jeans-like flat which I actually spotted it first! But no size for me. Sad.

Saw a few pairs of nice shoes in Bershka. I like the above one very much, and also the leopard printed sneakers. But I didn’t buy.. both. -.- im regretting now, don’t scold me anymore!
Dinner at one of the restaurant in the mall. They serve really good food, but I forgot their name. haha! Okay they are just beside the main entrance. But also costly. Had Fideua, something like fried spaghetti…delicious!
My sister is into Sangria again. And beer is always on my side. Sent these two pics to my daddy that night and he replied, “Wow, you both so Spanish har?” hahahhaha what an adjective ;P

When its 8pm we just left the mall and start walking back to Music museum..
in the hall

probably I was too tired..i find it interesting at first, but it was like…1.5 hrs long. I was so sleepy after like 30mins..the same three person dance, clapping and tapping the floor over and over again.. different dresses only.. LOL maybe I shall watch it again next time when I’m not so tired?
one of the three dancers. i love their dress. haha!

12/8/2012 · day 5
Last half day in Barcelona. Did nothing, like seriously..hahah! woke up and pack our stuffs. Then headed out for brunch at Las Ramblas, the street we had our paella for the very first time. Hehe. Every café looks good there, can pick either one. Shouldn’t be a problem I guess?

Wanted to have paella, and also the black squid fried rice Arrós Negre, but we only can order one portion. (each day we take only one meal, and we share one main course.) and we picked the squid one.

Regret. Still prefer paellaaaaa ohh gawd.
Very lame collage of my sister..hahahha :P

Then we headed to the airport right after lunch.
While waiting for metro.

Goodbye Barcelona. And my sister’s Sangria, and my lovely paella.
We were lateee at the airport -_____- luckily they still let us check in.

NEXT STATION > ROME, Italy

*****************************
Barcelona, is known as the City of Culture. But I didn’t really see a lot of cultural stuffs during my stay there hahahah!

· English is usable at this place. At anywhere, you can ask anyone for direction. They may have their slang, and not so good command, still it’s understandable. If it’s related to tourism sectors, the officers can speak really good English. (like i speak very well? hahahahh)

· Very friendly local people. And hot guys. HAHAHHA okay. I think they like Asians.

· Quite expensive entrance fees for all attractions, and also expenses on food, I think? About 30 for one meal (Paella + Sangria + Beer). The one at the mall is more ><

La Sagrada Familia ★ ★ ★ - MUST go
Casa Batllo ★ - didn't go in, maybe someone tell me next time? ;)
Casa Milà ★ ☆ - interesting architecture of the building
Parc Güell ★ ★ ★ - nice view and place to take photos
Mercat St. Josep ★ ★ - selling repetitive stuff, yet worth to see.
FCB Camp Nou ★ ☆ - enjoyed sitting in the stadium and eyewash with hot guys =P
Las Ramblas ★ ★ ☆ - street arts, food, souvenirs, starbucks...all you can find.
Columbus Monument ★ ★
Palau de la Música Catalana ★ ★ - lucky enough that we get to watch Flamenco =D
Catedral de Barcelona ★ ★ - idk? outside looks nice. =P
Streets nearby Catedral ★ ★ ☆ - different feel with other streets in Barca.
Maremagnum ★ ★ - shop, dine, entertainment. hahahaha

ciaooo, i hope i still gonna update on italy and paris.
just..don't go anywhere! stay tuned! hahahah

Summer in Barcelona '12 -PART I-

Yay..finally got the mood to update my summer trip to Europe. Let's start with Barcelona, Spain, our first stop of the 18-days-long trip.

..recalling...
8/8/2012 & 9/8/2012 · day 1&2
after we had our dinner, limbeh drove us to the airport =D and it was a weekday, so we forgot that there'll be a jam and underestimated the time we needed to get to the airport. when there's a smoother traffic my dad went up to 160km/hr -.- which i didn't know until my sister told me in the plane. LOL

-SAFE- checked in and board a night flight to Barcelona El-Prat Airport (BCN). First time on Qatar Airways and the service is awesomopieces!
*faint a little* hahah. watched a few movies throughout the flight.
transit at Doha, Qatar. omg so hot man...-.- and i broke my watch there =(
and yeap i love to wear my pyjamas on board. hahahahahha

arrived at Barcelona 7.40am in the morning local time.so pretty isn't it

and this is the custom stamp. thought it'll be a nicer one. LOL. the handsome custom spoke spanish to me then i was like "0.0...what?"

after deposited our luggage at the residence, we started our day in Barcelona! first stop was La Sagrada Familia
interior, exterior..although i'm not an artistic or architecture person, look at that carvings! gosh.
it's by Gaudi.
Entrance fee = 11€ (students)

passed by Casa Batllo, the colourful building, by Gaudi as well. Entrance fee is 16.30 for students. :X
so we moved our steps to Casa Milà. Gaudi's also -.-

unique part of the building : the rooftop!

and in the buidling..
there's another floor --apartment. kinda interesting too..entrance fee 14€.

*it was soooooooooooooooooo HOT!!!!*

Park Güell. Gaudi
to get there, bus then climb up the slope -.-
modeling? No..saw a lady posing like a model when taking 10+pics. so we did it beside her =P

self-obsessed time =P
the view from the park. can see the sea ..so pretty. hahahha

that's for our first day in Barcelona. Dinner was as simple as....instant noodles hahah oh ya we stayed in Melon District Residencia so there's a shared kitchen where u can cook and meet other residents ;)
And it's summer! we went back at 8pm, yet the sun was still hanging high like it's only 4pm. wooooo

10/8/2012 · day 3
so we left our room at 10. nahh its kinda early. since the sunset is arnd 9pm..HAHA
today, we're heading to Mercat St. Josep (market), and Barcelona Football Club Camp Nou.
took train to Catalunya square, so we had a few minutes there...

               fruits and food ~

 random sweet couple =P

 the street

since we're nearby so we just walk down the street towards the jetty. another tourist attraction, the Columbus Monument. random xia hahahh!

had our lunch! yesh PAELLA! must have in Barcelona. it's a kind of seafood rice, super nice! *like like like!*
ngaww i miss the rice!!! and my sister fell in love with Sangria immediately. this is probably so-called "Love at first taste" HAHAHHA

then we headed to FCB Camp Nou. after we got out from the train station, it looks like we're lost. because it's so....chilled. no one's there..and we hardly found the entrance for the stadium LOL. know what, we went to the stadium they have training instead of the stadium opened for public XD

the ticket is 17€ for students, and 23€ for adults. so...remember to bring your student id or visa when you're visiting!!! even my TCSH student id is acceptable, which is already expired in June HAHAH

because my sister planned nothing after this camp nou, so we just spent like 3hrs in the stadium. sitting there, fooling around, and thinking whether to go to some bar or pub later at night. haha!
i say, football stadium is always the best place to meet handsome kia!!

there's one uncle sitting beside while we taking these pic haha he must be sweating. yea he should be, the weather is so hot!

back to melon district and got down off the street to hunt for food. simply sat down at any restaurant/bar we saw.
the Russian Salad. yummy tho, it's tuna based!
the "4 Quesos" pizza.
when it was served, only we know queso means cheese. there's 4 kinds of cheeses in that pizza. Mozzarella, Cheddar, Queso Crema and Parmesanoomg i cannot tahan. seriously, especially the queso crema. -.-

And when eating, i looked around randomly, then one Chinese guy smiled and waved at me. i was like, err, do i know this guy? LOL then i waved back (god knows why). hahah! he came forward and asked if we can speak Mandarin. yea. then he just sat down. and started to talk to us. he said he met us yesterday, i mean, the day before at the three places we visited. Gaudi's places. LOL. at all three places like seriously? at first i thought he was just crapping. then when he said, "Your red backpack really caught my eyes, that's why i remember. You were wearing a white tee and have your fringes tied up rite?" oh god. how great would it be if i caught some other handsome's eyes. =P and yea, he talked alot. -___- the most random guy i've ever met, i swear. HAHHA one thing is, he's studying in Germany :( i'm so jealous!!

Uhm, guess i shall stop here for this post. there'll be Barcelona Part II then ! stay tune! =D
