HTHT

Disclaimer: All the paragraphs in this post are so unrelated to each other.

Recently I had a few HTHT (Heart-to-heart talk) sessions with my fellow medic mates. With a few shots down our GI tract, we were all able to throw out some little secrets about ourselves. We laughed at one’s stupidest fear. Then we tried to give advice to one another. I cried, but for once, I finally thought that it’s okay to break down in front of people. Because the moment I spilled my beans out, these girls rushed over from another bed just to hug me so tightly.

I am sorry that I made the whole session awkward. Complete silence (well, not really. The room was filled with my sobs) for 5 minutes. I am sorry. I know you guys didn’t know how to react to that. And I am sorry, for keeping everything to myself since forever and not letting you guys in to my world.

That day C asked me, “Hey, compare your 2015 with your 2014, which one is better?”
“2015.”
(After I blurted out 2015, that’s when my mind started working. I flashed back everything that happened in 2015- wasn’t able to transfer overseas, break up, dramas in school etc…)
“Me too. Why?”

There’s nowhere better than where I am now. Anytime you ask me, I’ll answer you – ‘Now’ is the best time I ever had. Sure, times before tragedy happened was wonderful. You know I been through shit. You know what haunted me for more than 10 years. But without them, I would not have become who I am today. I won’t be the independent girl you’re seeing. I won’t be the girl who is only 22 but thinks like a 32. I won’t be the girl who thinks that, the only person you should trust in this world is yourself. I remember every single shit that broke me in the past. Big or small, I took them as lessons. I don’t show my emotions because I think that it’s not necessary.

Haih shit I shouldn’t be writing this kind of things. HAHAHA! Well. Christmas was 2 days ago. My Christmas present this year was the multiple HTHT sessions with them people. If I haven’t talked this out, I’d probably still be crying to my pillow 10 years later. It’s a relief to actually have people to know (if not understand) your past. Everyone must have been through some kind of rocky road. Don’t wonder how things might end later. It really, really depends on your own beliefs, what matters the most to you.

Damn, I’m so Capricorn.

20.11.2015

It's been 11 weeks since i started clinical phase in Seremban.
Some days are boring.
Some days are delightful.
Some days are gloomy.
There's at least something to impact you almost every week, if not everyday.

Might be an epic conversation with the patient.
Might be your first time getting some findings.
Might be your retarded friends, colleagues or teammates.
Might be workload.
Might be lack of sleep.
Might be a furious houseman/staff nurse/matron.
Might be an epic night out back to KL on a weeknight.
Might be the cute looking senior/doctor.
Might be expensive but low quality food.
Might be a funny and inspiring lecturer/ bedside teaching.
Might be presentation after presentation.
Might be getting praised because you made such a badass floor plan like a professional interior designer.
Might be a death.

You never know what's waiting for you in the next minute.
You never know.

Whatever it is, i always tell myself-
Conceal don't feel, don't let them know.
hahaha just kidding. that's Frozen's line.
Feeling is a bitch. It really is.
Maybe, to some extent, healthcare providers should all be robotised.

Semester 6 2/24

Helloooooo.
Just feel like dropping a few words here as me, this lazy girl, still havent manage to pack myself up to face the challenging clinical training ahead. Well, I might or might have not mentioned, I made it to Semester 6 of my medical course, eventhough I couldn't continue my degree in partner medical school overseas due to my bad English, I'm glad that I actually made it lah. It's because all this while I have been thinking medical school is nothing to me. I passed one exam and another without studying constantly. Now in clinical training, it's a total different world now.

Currently having my training based at Hospital Tuanku Jaafar Seremban- a tertiary hospital of Negeri Sembilan. Being a tertiary hospital, it's almost on par with GHKL, but because here in HTJ we don't have every up-to-date equipment, some of our patients will still be referred to GHKL. All but all, this is a really busy hospital and I couldn't be happier that IMU made this hospital as our training hospital.

Currently in my second week in Sem 6, first week in surgery posting. (last week was just useless orientation) What works differently here compared to IMU Bukit Jalil, it's really self-directed learning. We had to be at the ward by 7.30am every morning to follow ward rounds. And we are expected to stay in the ward until 12.30pm. Have lunch and come back, and have some clinical skills classes or case discussion in the afternoon. Submitting one case report every week, despite of the stupid super lengthy report format. Do at least one oncall session a week. Weekends we are supposed to go to the ward as well. This is alright. Wait for it.

We then need to participate in giving a medical seminar. Around 15 person in a group to work on a seminar.

We then are also required to carry out a research project (like serious shit research) and to be done before we end our semester 7.

We then are also supposed to prepare for 4 examinations in this semester.

We then are also needed to find a patient so that we can follow up, have home visit for the patient for two years before we graduate.

Chill, I'm just talking about semester 6. We'll talk about sem 7/8/9/10 when I get there ok?

okies. time to prepare for my presentation tomorrow. woohoo fml. Why am i here in Medicine again?!?!?! (I'm feeling like an angel being so hardworking for the first time in my life.)

Travel blog 2015 : Japan v3.0 [5] · Fujikawaguchiko ·

Well up until here I'm actually feeling very lazy to update. I think I'm not gonna put on places I've been before ie Tokyo. But in this trip there was a new destination - Fuji Mount so I think I should at least put this up. HAHA. *lazy shit alert*

So, we were up early to catch a bus at 8.13am from 中央道日野 Hino bus stop. (Check out and book from www.highwaybus.com) costs JPY1525 one way and takes just over an hour to reach Fujikawaguchiko Station(河口湖駅)

To get to Hino Bus Stop, first you gotta take train(s) to Koshukaido Station 甲州街道駅 and take a walk to the bus stop on a highway. Here's a video from YouTube which will guide you to the bus stop. (TRUST ME, YOU NEED THIS >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVYmI4vyGzE <<)

After we got off at Kawaguchiko Station, we headed straight to the tourist information counter to purchase the Sightseeing bus ticket. It's a two-day pass which costs JPY1200 per person. Get the route map and bus timetable so that you can plan your trip around kawaguchiko.

The buses will go around two lakes - Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Saiko. There's two route, the Green and the Red Line.

The map looks like this. Well as you can see the stations are numbered. Sometimes the driver will mention the station number but sometimes they don't. So just take note on where you planning to go, if you are unsure at anytime just ask the driver. They'll be more than happy to help you.

RED LINE STATION 22 :
河口湖自然生态馆
Kawaguchiko Natural Living Centre

RED LINE STATION 14:
Reflection of Mt Fuji on the lake.

It was almost noon and the iced layer on top of the lake was slowly melting and the reflection of the mountain was reduced too. Therefore it'll be a good idea to go earlier in the morning.

Lunch :9
Is it just my time because I think the choices of eatery is very limited here. So we simply settled down at any restaurant we see when we felt hungry.

GREEN LINE STATION 68
西湖いやしの里ねん場
Saiko Iyashi no Sato NENBA

An area with traditional houses, inside the houses displayed different things like the history of Saiko Lake, Fujikawaguchiko etc. Some houses are selling handcrafts and stuffs also.

can't help. Must have ice cream anywhere I go. ahahahah!

This place has that Japanese street feel wor. like those we saw in comic and anime

Then we headed back to our hotel. We were staying at Fujihashi Resort Inn (富士橋)

welcome drink and biscuits hahah!

Our room for three.

died off straight with the heater table.

couldn't resist the temptation by this fried chicken.

Their bathroom. It's a open bath and, MIX. wtf.

Thank god no one came in while i was showering. LOL

Woke up to this view from our room. not bad leh. hehehe

Room rate includes breakfast....

Dining hall

Breakfast freshly made by the owners. YUMS

Started our day to the CAVES:::::

GREEN LINE STATION 71
富岳风穴
Here's one of the two famous 'caves' right beside Fuji Mount.

To see these.

Walked about 15minutes to reach another cave -- the ice cave (sorry forgot what's it's English name.)
鸣泽冰穴
Now this is where they get ice in the past. It's freezing cold and slippery in the cave, so watch your steps!

Stay close to your bus timetable because you need to walk back to the first cave to catch the sightseeing bus. We actually ran a distance because the bus was there at the station. If we missed that bus we will need to wait for another hour.

Went back to the hotel to get our baggage. And the owner sent us to Kawaguchiko Station. THAT WAS SO NICE. HEHE!

Had our lunch nearby the station. In Yamanashi, there's this famous pan-mee-like noodles called 'Hoto' ほとう.

Didn't know the portion was THAT HUGE so we ordered one each. WTF. crazy.
All three of us were trying so hard to finish.

It's also kind of like udon, but the flattened version of udon.

HAHAH this is too cute.

Then we went to inquire about the Oshino Hakkai 忍野八海 (8 Lakes)
To reach that place you'll need to take a train to Fujisan Station, then from Fujisan Station take a bus to Oohashi 大橋

At Oshino Hakkai, there are 8 different lakes that you can look out for. Here's a little bit about the lakes.

"Mysterious Spring Water"
In the past, Oshino Lake passed through many eruptions of Mt. Fuji, water from the lake eroded and drained gradually the vallet between Mt Fuji footage and Misaka Mountains, and the lake dried up eventually after a long period. However, there are several spring ponds left that are originated from the underflow water of Mt. Fuji. Oshino Hakkai are famous among these spring ponds.

The snow over Mt Fuji melts and penetrates into the ground, impermeable layer between the lave, is filtrated for several decades, and appears as pure clear spring water. The beautiful and mysterious looking scenes including Mt. Fuji, that is reflected over the surface, through four seasons, seem to appeal quietly a true nature and beauty of water to be preserved.

お釜池 Okamaike Pond
- A small pond but with abundant quantity of spring water. The smallest pond among the Oshino Hakkai Ponds. -

出口池 Deguchiike Pond
- The largest pond among the Oshino Hakkai Ponds and is located away from other ponds. -
To get to this pond you'll have to walk a distance. And I think this is the pond that is located nearest to Mt Fuji. (When I was there, hahahha, I was thinking Oh shit what if Mt Fuji decided to erupt now....How fast can I run. LOLOL)

菖蒲池 Shoubuike Pond
- The pond where the beautiful legend concerning the iris flowers remains. -

Well, after looking at all the 8 ponds here, i concluded that....
DO NOT COME DURING WINTER. It's not as scenic as what you can see from catalog or internet because all the plants nearby are......

Only Wakuike Pond and 鏡池 Kagamiike Pond are worth to see. LOL

One mirror-fie because my legs appear to be thin here. HAHAHA

Shared plate of dinner before hopping onto the bus heading back to Tokyo. That croquette is so cute!! Mount Fuji's shape. hahahah!

Saturday 6 June 2015

Travel blog 2015 : Japan v3.0 [4] · Tokyo half-a-day ·

Wee! So I put the whole Kyoto trip in the previous post. The next day (i.e Day 5) we will be heading to Tokyo, to kacau my sister (miss her liao), and while on the way to Tokyo, we were supposed to meet Zerky in the Shinkansen. But things did not go as planned......

That morning we took the Shinkansen at around 9+am. Zerky flew from KL to Nagoya and will board the same train as us. Well, we did meet on the train. But the problem was, I told the officer at ticket counter that we would like to get to Shinjuku Station (I did not know that Shinkansen doesn't stop at Shinjuku). So the officer arranged another free transit from Shinagawa to Shinjuku Station. Zerky's ticket allows him to go to Tokyo Station (which is another freaking huge station).

=== Soooooo, our Shinkansen tickets only valid up to Shinagawa station, so we HAD to get down the train and leaving Zerky on the train travelling to Tokyo Station (all this while I thought the train was going to bring him to Shinjuku station so we said we'll meet him there.)

But what the heck, when we finally realized that we ended up at different stations, we freaked out (kind of). HAHAHHAHA! It's funny recalling back now. But anyways, WE FOUND HIM. We went to Tokyo eki and looked for him. ahahahhaha. funny shit.

**Shinkansen stops at Shinagawa and Tokyo Station. But apparently the officer can arrange a free local subway ride to your desired destination. You just need to follow and board the trains as indicated on your ticket.
Lost kid Found.

Hello Nihhon-jin, minna sama need to work on your Ego (English).

--------------
Soooooo we finally arrived at my sister's place at 2/3pm ? LOL (we planned to get there before 1pm). As my sister was staying at a kind of outskirt area so it takes at least 30minutes train ride to get to her place from Shinjuku.

Put down our stuffs and headed out for super late lunch at Ootaya. First time here and I LOVE THE FOOOOOOOOOOOD. TOO SMALL PORTION LAAAA

After having our lunch, the sky was getting dark again. 3 of us quickly went to catch some tourist spots before it's too late. hahahah!

First stop : TOKYO TOWER

still beautiful. I still love this tower over Skytree.

While they were busy looking at the toys..

I was actually panicking about my First Professional Examination Part I as the result was to be released that day at 5pm Malaysia time.
So I kept the portable wifi on and kept on refreshing my mailbox. And nothing came up. I was fking stressed and OMG, I can't tell how emotional I was at that moment.

FINALLY,
Stupid IMU, Forever Delay. I only need to see that one word because i really don't want to repeat second year again. LOL
(*FYI, just last week, I passed my Part II as well! WOOHOO!)

And I was happily jumping. HAHA!

There was nothing much at Tokyo Tower if you are not going up to the observation deck (which i haven't been too). Only a few restaurants and shops downstairs.

Next we headed back to Shinjuku since it was already (quite) late. Walked around a few streets..

Went to buy the legendary cheese tart from BAKE at the station mall

Met up with sister at the train station near her house and we went for my favorite Japanese curry don @ COCO!
my favorite croquette! コロケ

Look at this two
One thinks that it's too spicy and another one thinks he ordered the wrong thing (not nice one ahahhaha)

Zerky trying to separate his rice from the curry. HAHAH
you laugh. look at your own plate :P

Went to buy some groceries at Seiyu and then settled down at Fuda 202. Having some party going on here¬ Cheese tart and edamame party HAHA!

KAMPAI! To Fuda 202!!

Seductive or not?? Nyum nyumsss. I had one that night and it was like HEAVEN to me. so rich. and the base. omgggggggggg I would love to have one RIGHT NOW

It was a simple yet tiring day. Cause we traveled ! HAHHA 500+km leh. no play play.
Went to bed after partying as we needed to catch an early bus to Fuji Mount the next day.

お休み!
